Washington State Bank was originally chartered in April of 1932 in Washington, Iowa. Since then, we have grown to serve the communities and surrounding areas of Fairfield, Columbus Junction, and most recently Pella. Even through our continued growth, we are proud to be a locally owned and operated community bank.

As a locally owned and operated bank, we assist many diverse organizations, causes and school districts. We give back to our communities through volunteering, donation pledges, event sponsorships and scholarships for continued education. We encourage our staff to be involved and are proud of their dedicated service hours they continue to provide. Supporting local businesses in our communities is also important to us so in 2015 we launched WSB’s Cash Mob, a program that encourages employees and the public to shop local through advertised shopping events.

We offer a variety of banking products and services as your community bank, but we pride ourselves on the ability to offer customers and clients the latest in innovative technology one might find from a larger financial institution, all with a personal experience. Connection to our customers is important to us so we utilize several forms of communication including Conversation, an instant messaging feature within our mobile app that directly connects you to our customer service team. You can also find us on Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter) where we often discuss community events, banking and security tips, and giveaways.

We care for not only our customers but also the communities we serve and are always looking to invest in a future with you!
